Parke County

Described as the Covered Bridge Capital of the World, Parke County is home to 31 covered bridges which are featured in this gallery.    The Annual Covered Bridge Festival draws many thousands of visitors from all over the state and neighboring states to see the bridges and shop the multitude of festival booths and eat the foods that are the taste of festivals!  Nestled along the western border of the county, runs the Wabash River.  There are many places in the county which draw families to hike and bike, most notably, Turkey Run State Park and part of Shades State Park.  Both rugged in landscape.  Rockville is the County Seat and sadly, of all the places we’ve been, we did not get an image of the Courthouse.  Might have to go back someday to shoot that!
