Grant County
Grant County is located midway between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne in North Central Indiana. The major cities and towns in Grant County are Marion, Gas City, Upland and Fairmount. Indiana Wesleyan University is located in the South edge of Marion. Marion is the County Seat and is the home of Jim Davis, creator of the comic strip, Garfield, which is one of the most syndicated comic strips in the World. Garfield Statues are scattered around Grant County and are awesome to see! Another notable, Fairmount was the home of actor James Dean. There are many things of interest to see in this county, from farmlands to interesting small towns to the Garfield Trail and James Dean memorials.
